My First Mortgage Has Been Modified by Wells Fargo but CitiMortgage Says No 2MP Information for my Second Mortgage

When I call my second loan provider, CitiMortgage, and ask about the 2mp program, they tell me they have no information on it. The complete 2nd mortgage is underwater. Even if I was to sell my home they would not get their money. What can I do?

I'm sorry to hear that CitiMortgage is saying they have no information on the 2MP program. It has been mentioned on the news both in print and on TV that Citi is one of the banks who have recently signed up to participate in 2MP.

Have you tried calling again and speaking to a different representative? Loss mitigation reps are notorious for being misinformed themselves and it's rare to find one who is actually knowledgeable and helpful. CitiMortgage is awful in this regard.

You may want to speak to a manager or someone higher who knows the latest programs that are being rolled out. Read this article and you may want to cite it when you call Citi again:
