Does US Bank participate in the 2MP HAMP program?

I'm applying for HAMP through PennyMac on my first mortgage. My equity line of credit is with US Bank. Does anyone know if US Bank participates in the 2MP HAMP?

I don't know for certain if US Bank is a participant in the 2MP HAMP program. I'm assuming you've checked with them already?

If a bank participates in HAMP you have to do HAMP on the first Mortgage and you automatically qualify for 2MP HAMP.

Remember in order to qualify for HAMP the loan has to be before January 1, 2009.

As a reminder it is very important to keep a written log of every conversation you have with your lender. Date, Time, Name, ID number, phone extension and a written summary of the conversation.

Also, since the 2ND is not with the Bank who has the first mortgage, you are in a stronger bargaining position.
